Very good Island food. I've had the jerk chicken the most. Good Mac n cheese (macaroni pie)

Was not expecting it to be so good, but it was had the jerk chicken and oxtail combo. It was superb. The pepper sauce was so spicy. The meat was tender on both. The service was also friendly and great. Overall one of the better local Jamaican restaurants experiences.

I came here to pick up a Too Good To Go order and was so surprised by the amount of food they gave. There's a ton of Caribbean food spots in this area, so I was curious to see how this food compared. I'm happy to say this is the best in the area. I spoke with Paula (I hope I got her name right) and she was so kind and friendly getting my food ready. The food itself was fresh and so delicious. Plus, the portions were huge! We got some rice, jerk pork, plantains and steamed veggies. Plus, veggie patties and chicken soup. You can tell that the food is made fresh. I'm so happy they're participating in this program and I can't wait to go back!

I hardly ever do reviews, but the food here was really good I had to do one. I had a combination of oxtail and curry goat, my mom had the steam fish, and I also bought the soup. I enjoyed it down to the bone and will be ordering again soon.

This is my second time ordering food from this restaurant and the first time I had their breakfast. Be aware that I did not actually go to the restaurant, instead I ordered through doordash so I'm not sure how their customer service is. When my food came, the fried dumplings were still hot, fresh and crispy on the outside and well baked and soft on the inside. I usually don't care to order plantains from Caribbean restaurants because I love them really ripe and sweet so I was surprised but equally excited that these plantains were the right amount of sweet and ripe. I was also really pleased with the ackee and saltfish too because the ackee was clearly visible unlike when you order from some other Caribbean/ Jamaican restaurants and the saltfish usually overpowers the ackee. I'll definitely be ordering from them again in the future.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. The Ackee and salt fish is delicious. I like that they offer callalou without fish.

Is this place for real? I stepped into Safari to pick up lunch( curry goat / rice and peas),and though this elderly lady was assisting another customer I was greeted...pretty different/ unusual for a Jamaican spot. At Jamaican restaurants you usually hear "wha you want?", and that's when it's your turn to be served. I waited for my turn, which was very short, before I was asked by a younger woman with a smile, to be helped. My meal was average priced but my takeaway dish was fully packed.. my meal was too much for only me so as much as I wanted to gobble it all down, i left some for later. I was even offered and given a loyalty card... you buy 10 meals and on your 11th $5 will be subtracted... the loyalty card only applies to meal purchases. I left one star out as the curry was a bit spicy... a no no for me!!

On a whim, I decided to stop in and try the food here. I pass by every day yet I haven't heard much about it and there isn't much reviews so I guess it was a YOLO type of day for me lol. Let me just say that it was worth it! First, I stepped in and I was greeted! Now that's surprising, even for myself being Jamaican, I have probably been in 1 other restaurant where the staff didn't have some type of attitude or sucked their teeth at you like you stole the LAST piece of oxtail out of the pot. There were 2 ladies at the counter and 1 offered to serve me immediately. I decided to try the special of the day, BBQ Jerk chicken with rice and peas, and steamed vegetables ($7.50). I asked for brown stew chicken gravy on my rice and received NOT 1 complaint from the server. She even asked me if what she offered was enough! Within minutes, I paid and was warmly (with a smile ya'll!) advised to enjoy my meal. Wonderful service, I can't say that enough. Now the meal. It was definitely tasty. I didn't taste the Jerk flavor from the chicken but it was savory. The rice with the gravy was also top notch and the steamed veggies were crisp and fresh. I could not ask for more except perhaps more chicken. Compared to the amount of rice I received, the chicken was a bit small. Other than that, I have no complaints. I will surely be returning for more!
